Conclusion

Ths creation of the solar oven has many benefits. It bakes and cooks food without harming the environment. For our environmental project, we had to get the solar oven warm enough in order to bake the cookies. Thereofore our hypothesis was: If we use enough aluminum foil to reflect the light and black construction paper to trap the heat, then we will be able to bake cookies with sunlight. Well, we used enough aluminum foil because we covered the inside and out. Then, we used a lot of construction paper by covering all the outside. Therefore, sunlight was able to bake the cookies. We observed the cookies and after an hour of sitting in the solar oven, they became warm and not soggy. We were gladly able to meet our project goal because the cookies did not crumble and they were baked. However, if we can redo the project, we would use more aluminum foil and a bigger box so the cookies would heat up and bake faster.
